Rideshare Week is an annual, statewide campaign designed to encourage commuters to take personal responsibility for reducing traffic and smog by pledging to rideshare. Commute Connection in sponsorship with the SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY AIR POLLUTION CONTROL DISTRICT, JAWBONE® and MAYACO MARKETING INTERNET are having several raffles giving away prizes valued at more than $3,000. Commuters who live or work in San Joaquin County, Stanislaus County or Merced County are eligible to participate in Commute Connection's drawing. To participate you must pledge to rideshare at least ONE day during Rideshare Week.

If you are participating in the Corporate Challenge with your employer, go to the "Registration for Corporate Challenge Participants" button below and register (if you are currently registered with Commute Connection, you only need to complete your commuter log for Rideshare Week.)
CORPORATE CHALLENGE REGISTRATION FORMS AND TOOL KIT:
Participants in the Corporate Challenge MUST LOG THEIR COMMUTE. To log your commute, log into Commute Connection by clicking HERE. Go to My Registration then Commute Calendar. From the drop down menus, record your method of transportation and click on SUBMIT. Your commutes will be registered!

What do I have to do to participate?
To participate, you must pledge to rideshare at least once or more during the week of October 3rd - 7th, 2011.
What does "rideshare" mean?
Rideshare means that you use an alternate mode of transportation to driving by yourself in a car. It can include any of the following: carpooling, vanpooling, riding transit , taking the train, walking, bicycling or telecommuting.
If I am already registered with Commute Connection am I automatically entered in the drawing?
No. Even if you are registered with Commute Connection, you must complete a Rideshare Registration form and "pledge" to rideshare during rideshare week.
When can I register?
Register between September 14th and October 10th to be eligible for the drawings. On line registration form will be available on September 14th.
According to a Caltrans study, 60% of commuters who try ridesharing for the first time during Rideshare Week continue to rideshare at least occasionally afterward.
