 BIKE TO WORK WEEK
 MAY 17th - MAY 21st

 SPONSORED BY:

Get ready to participate in one of the largest events of its kind in the Country- Bike to Work Week, May 17-21, 2010.This exciting and fun event promotes cycling as a form of transportation to the workplace. It celebrates those who bicycle commute throughout the year, and supports an environmentally friendly transportation option and promotes clean air.

Riding a bike to work is an old trend with new benefits. As Americans become increasingly health conscious, they realize that bicycling is a viable commute option. Instead of going to the gym after work, try riding your bicycle to work. Riding a bike to work won't just make you healthier - it will also save you money. Did you know that cycling is one of the least expensive forms of transportation? It cost just pennies a day. With the increasing cost of gas, biking to work is a viable- and less expensive-alternate to driving.

Commute Connection with our sponsors will hold a raffle for commuters who pledge to bike or walk during Bike to Work Week. As in the past, Commute Connection will be giving away two bicycles and two helmets. There will be one winner chosen in San Joaquin County and one in Stanislaus County.

To participate, simply pledge to ride your bike or walk to work (or to a transit station) at least one day during Bike to Work week in San Joaquin or Stanislaus Counties.
