RIDESHARE WEEK
RESULTS

Thanks to everyone who participated in Rideshare Week 2011! It was a huge success with nearly 550 individuals pledged to rideshare, 14 companies participating in the new Corporate Challenge event and 38 new carpools added. The winners and drawing information are as follows:

CORPORATE CHALLENGE:

This was the first year for the Corporate Challenge. The winners were chosen using the number of employees, number of participants and number of trips logged. Corporate Challenge winners will receive a catered lunch for all participants, 3 Jawbone Headsets to raffle at their luncheon, and Rideshare Week T-shirts for all participants. And the winners are......

SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY CORPORATE CHALLENGE WINNER:
OWENS-ILLINOIS, INC. located in Tracy.

STANISLAUS COUNTY CORPORATE CHALLENGE WINNER:
PARKER HANNIFIN RACOR located in Modesto.

MERCED COUNTY CORPORATE CHALLENGE WINNER:
CITY OF MERCED located in Merced.

 

INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPANT WINNERS:

With nearly 550 individuals who participated in Rideshare Week 2011, it was a great time and a huge success. Each winner in the individual Rideshare Week challenge will receive a $250 Visa gift card and a Jawbone Headset. The winners are as follows:

Do you have pictures of your commute? Do you travel a beautiful route to work each day? Have you seen a breath taking rainbow or other amazing scenery on your drive to work? Entries should be received by November 30th, at 5:00 p.m. Entrants must work or live in San Joaquin, Stanislaus or Merced Counties and be registered with Commute Connection.

SAN JOAQUIN COMMUTING FACTS

  • ~Over the past decade, the number of workers commuting into and out of San Joaquin County has grown over 32% to more than 106,200 people.

  • ~45% of in-commuters to San Joaquin County come from Stanislaus County while 40% of out-commuters work in Alameda County.

  • ~The most common industries worked in by San Joaquin County commuters are Construction, Education & Health Services and Manufacturing.
